A combined measurement configuration mounted on the bogey of a wagon. On the one hand, the actual friction coefficient is measured on the spot by means of a contact wheel, which supplies or removes power. On the other hand, the reflected light from the rail bar in the IR and NIR area is analyzed by means of a spectrum of cameras. The measurement results have been collected across a total trajectory of 2500 km at operating speeds of 80 km/h.

The analysis of the measurement results has shown a connection between the slipperiness and the presence of light at a certain frequency.

-the total mechanic construction of the de tribo meter.
-positioning, mounting and casing of the cameras.
